LIBRARY CLOSED FOR 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY
The Library will be closed Saturday, July 2, 2011 through Monday, July 4, 2011 in observance of the 4th of July Holiday. We will re-open our regular hours on Tuesday, July 5th.

RIVERDALE'S MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011
The Village of Riverdale in conjunction with Ivanhoe Park, will be hosting their 2nd annual Riverdale Music Festival on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from Noon-9:00pm at the Riverdale Park located at 138th & Wentworth in Riverdale.

SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM
The Village of Riverdale is hosting a "Summer Food Service Program" that offers free meals for ages 18 years and younger. It will be held at the Riverdale Resource Center located at 13725 S. Wabash in Riverdale.

The program will start on Monday, June 27, 2011 and end on Friday, August 12, 2011. The 1st meal will be served at 9:30 a.m. Monday - Friday and the 2nd meal will be served at Noon Monday - Friday.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The Village of Riverdale in conjunction with the Ivanhoe Park District will be hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, June 25, 2011. The tournament will be located at Franson Park, 145th & Atlantic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This tournament has a wheelchair division & three age Categories: 26 years an up, 18-25 years and Youth to 17 years. Participants under 17 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.

Team registration and applications are available at the Riverdale Village Hall (157 West 144th Street in Riverdale) You must be registered to play!!!

GIRL SCOUTS PRESENTS...MOMMY & ME PRINCESS PARTY
Calling all Girls in Riverdale/Dolton -- Girl Scout Daisys. Come join us for a "Mommy and Me Princess Party." All Kindergarten and 1st grade girls are invited - come with your Mom and tell your friends. Princesses can dress in their princess clothes or even wear jeans or shorts - their choice. Girls will make a Princess crown, design and dress their own paper doll Princess, and learn what it takes to be a Princess inside and out!

Date: July 23, 2011 Time: 10am-12pm
Place: Dolton Library 14037 S. Lincoln Ave.
Girl Scout Yearly Membership: $12.00
*Financial assistance is available, adults are free!

Every child must be accompanied by an adult.
